Filippos Alexandrakis
Filippos Alexandrakis is an Attorney-at-Law admitted to the Piraeus Bar Association. He specializes in corporate and civil law issues as well as in maritime and transport law cases. He has handled numerous civil and corporate issues both in consulting level as well as before the courts. He is a graduate of Law of School of Athens and he holds an L.LM. on Maritime Law from the same University. He holds also an L.LM. in International Commercial and Maritime Law from Swansea University from where he graduated first in his class. He is a scholar of HELMEPA and he has published a monograph on a special Maritime Law topic such as “Vetting clauses and tanker chartering” (Nomiki Bibliothiki 2019), as well as an article on the issue “The remedy of exemplary damages in cases of fraudulent insurance claims” (Journal of Business Law 2023, issue 1). Due to his expertise in transport law, he was also chosen to contribute, by writing four Articles, in a novel commentary on airline liability published by Elgar Publishing “The Montreal Convention-A Commentary”, a work providing a comprehensive article-by-article analysis of the Montreal Convention.
